MAGIQ Software has a long and successful history providing business management, performance management and document management software and services to public sector and other service delivery focused organisations across the Australian and New Zealand marketplaces.
1980
NCS Software Limited was originally formed in 1980 in Napier, New Zealand as a software and services vendor of core finance and line of business systems. The markets served being primarily Local Government, State and Central Government, Utilities and Service based industries.
2014
In July 2014 MAGIQ Software acquired Chameleon Technology Pty Ltd a supplier of Budgeting, Reporting, Financial and Strategic Planning software and services, primarily for the Local Government and Healthcare sectors.
The merger of the two businesses in 2014 established a significant software and services vendor in the ANZ marketplace, with considerable experience capability and skills in our chosen markets.
2015
In March 2015 MAGIQ Software acquired the business of Melbourne based infoXpert Pty Ltd a supplier of document and records management software to the Local Government and Utilities sectors. The acquisition further strengthened the market presence of MAGIQ Software within the ANZ local government sector and added considerable new product capabilities and skills to the business.
In July 2015 the business changed its name to MAGIQ Software unifying the business under a single, new brand identity.

The MAGIQ software suites are used by more than 480 clients throughout Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Singapore, the UK, the US and South Africa.
The business has a team of more than 90 staff working to deliver great software and a high quality customer service and support experience that will ensure excellent business outcomes and enjoyable, long-term business relationships.

MAGIQ Software has a team of more than 90 people, we like to call them MAGIQIANS, across Australia and New Zealand. Our MAGIQIANS have enormous knowledge and understanding of the software and services industry, with years and years of experience between them. Many of our MAGIQIANS have specialist industry knowledge and experience achieved by working in the sector during their career. This ensures a deep understanding of each customer’s specific business requirements. Our MAGIQIANS are friendly, very approachable and are here to help.
